Discover our range of physical activity programs crafted for children ages 2 and up—designed to fit your daycare or preschool schedule.

Our Program

At First Step Sports, we proudly partner with preschools, daycares, primary schools, after-school programs and camps to bring movement-based learning to life! We offer weekly, bi-weekly (limited option based on availability) as well as session (8/10/12 weeks) scheduling. Our curriculum features more than 12 dynamic multi-week units, each spotlighting a specific sport or foundational skill. Between units, we keep the energy high with themed games, seasonal activities, and playful challenges as well. Every unit is thoughtfully adapted to support the developmental stages of children 18 months and up (participants must be independently walking), ensuring that every child can participate, grow and thrive with us!

Program Offerings

Throwing & Catching

Duration: 3 Weeks
Focus: Hand-eye coordination, Motor Skills, Tracking Toss and Catch games and activities that sharpen aiming, accuracy and control.

Balancing Act!

Duration: 3 weeks
Focus: Rhythm, Balancing, Core Strength Posture, balance and expressive movement to enhance body control.

Obstacle Adventures

Duration: 2 Weeks
Focus: Crawling, Climbing, Navigating This unit encourages students to build on core strength, balance and problem-solving skills as they navigate a variety of different and engaging obstacle courses.

Lacrosse Fundamentals

Duration: 2 Weeks
Focus: Cradling, Scooping, Object Control Safe stick play and partner collaborations establishing the foundational skills of lacrosse and building on coordination strength and skills.

Soccer Skills

Duration: 3 Weeks
Focus: Dribbling, Passing, Teamwork Introduction to soccer through goal games, coordination drills and confidence building.

Basketball Basics

Duration: 2-3 Weeks
Focus: Ball Control, Shooting, Spatial Play Fun with hoops and group movement challenges.
